Do the Easy Breathe Grazing Muzzles have any safety features?

All Tough1 Easy Breathe Muzzles (except the muzzle attachment) feature a “Quick Release” strap on the crown piece. This strap is designed to release with force in case there is an emergency (i.e., the muzzle gets caught on something, etc.).

When first fitting the Easy Breathe Grazing Muzzle to your horse, please note that this strap is not for fit adjustments. Set your “Quick Release” strap to how strong you want, then adjust the fit, which you will find on the opposite side.

How do I set the Quick Release Strap? To maximize strength and reduce the chance of breaking away, fully insert the Quick Release strap and close the hook-and-loop closure. For a weaker hold, insert the strap only halfway or partially.

I’m having trouble securing the Quick Release strap closure, what’s wrong? Hook-and-loop closures can easily collect dirt, hay, and hair over time. Check them regularly and remove any debris to keep them clean and working properly.
