These long cheeks are intricately engraved for a bit of sparkle and are multi-jointed so that each side can move independently, allowing for more subtle cues. The stainless steel port with copper bars helps promote salivation. Rein action with this bit applies pressure to the tongue at the port joints. The addition of a curb chain to this bit can help increase speed, rating, and stop.
